“Inspiring, educating, and empowering the Latinex community”

Throughout my career in the United States, I have witnessed the challenges and hardships that Latino immigrants face in their daily lives. This reality motivated me to get involved in various support programs for the Latino community, providing psychoeducation, mental health services, technical training, and amplifying the voice of the needs and contributions of the Latino community.

With over 20 years in social work and psychotherapy, I have worked at Casey Family Services, Johns Hopkins Bayview, Adelante Familia, and have served as a consultant for various academic, governmental, and private organizations that work with the Latino community.

I have now created my own venture, AYNI, LLC, inspired by the Quechua word “ayni,” which means “mutual support.”

“Pláticas con Doña Flor” is part of AYNI, LLC, where I focus on community well-being.
